The Reassurance

She felt that shortcomings had her stymied, so herself she reminded…

 

That fences will be mended,

And apologies, accepted.

 

That time will kill regret,

And people, they forget.

 

That contribution will survive,

And hope, stays alive.

 

That applaud will someday arrive,

And respect, will transpire.

 

That “always” is sometimes wrong,

And forever, too long.

 

That wrong is never right,

But darkness, fears light.
